Crystal Castles

Another track from the Daft Monkey mix. Crystal Castles did this amazing version of Van She's track "Sex City". Now after a bit of jiggery pokery from Nasty Nav we have...

The Hours - See The Light (Calvin Harris remix)

eh.

This track appeared in the 50 most popular on Hype Machine the other day and thank God I picked it up before it was drowned in Britney Spears and Killers tracks.

Anyway, this tune has such a catchy little electro overlay that you'll all be getting your keyboards out. Be ahead of the game, get YOUR keyboard out now.

Justice - DVNO (Sunshine Brothers remix)

Sunshine Brothers have trumpets but that has no relevance because they didn't remix this song

EDIT: I should really start doing my research. Cheers John (comments section) who pointed out that this is not a remix by the Sunshine Brother's band I link to. "Sunshine Brothers" is an alias used by Todd Edwards. Now everything makes a lot more sense and I feel slightly embaressed. Still, its the music that matters.

Original post:

{ Here's another track from my Daft Monkey mix. This one preceeded that stunning Alex Metric track. Sunshine Brothers have done a hell of a job on Justice's DVNO, fusing it into some kind of bouncy wander through Willy Wonkas chocolate factory. From what I can tell, Todd Edwards was involved somewhere along the line. I don't know where these blokes came from. All the other tracks on their Myspace are jaunty reggae numbers and they decided to remix Justice... Very odd, very good. }

Alex Metric - Deadly On A Mission (Alex Metric mix)

Hmmmm

I promised to post some tracks from my Daft Monkey live mix last week. I'm going to start off with an Alex Metric track that I stumble upon 5 minutes before I played my set (God knows how) and loved it so much I quickly fashioned some kind of shifty blend over from the Sunshine Brothers remix of DVNO. Its called "Deadly On A Mission" and its bloody good.
