Efterklang pie by Heather WoodsRough Genre: Electro
Here's a beautiful track from last year. The thing that struck me about this track is that it really is like a journey. The dynamics are fanstatic; there are dips in volume, cresendos and fades all over the place. Its quite quirky but nice and soft for a Sunday morning. I think its best listened to first with the video which features some kind of bird with human legs going for a wander.

This is a Stanton Warriors remix of We Interrupt This Programme, a track Coburn released in 2005. It all starts off nice and blurpy with some choppy vocals and we're all happy wandering along thinking "Where is this going?" Well, lets just say you will be rewarded. If you're not known for your patience you may want to skip to 1:13.

Some cracking classics remixed by Soulwax/2ManyDJs for you. This Rebel Rebel remix is fantastic. You could nicely drop this into the middle of a set starting with - "I am a DJ, I am what I play" - then gradually breaking into the signature guitar twangs of the original. Phoar!
And! Bonus - here's the 2ManyDJs remix of dEUS Everybody's Weird.

We met Ancient Greece obsessed Marina and the Diamonds previously on Cassette Culture here, and a grand remix of Obsessions popped up the other day from Pinkstallone. Nice and chilled out.

I spent 9 hours flipping out stomping tunes at a party last night and when I finally got home this afternoon and checked my e-mails, I found that the Billion Dollar DJs had sent over a new track smothered with pounding bassline variations! So pretty bad timing but I think the fact that this new track of theirs (called Sugoi!) somehow permeated my throbbing head and actually got a pleasant reaction, is testimony to how good it is. I could of done with this tune in my set last night.
There's quite a bit of Billion Dollar DJs remixes already up on Cassette Culture - well worth a listen - see here.
