Sounds Like: Marina and the Diamonds, Regina Spektor

Along the lines of Little Boots, in a similar vein to Marina and the Diamonds and appearing through the same double doors as Regina Spektor, Ellie Goulding has joined the long lines of soft-voiced female electro-pop acts emerging from the fruitful musical orchard that is The Internet. I hate to lump them all together but the comparisons are obvious.

So original? Maybe not but certainly worthy of a listen, at least to Starry Eyed, a catchy pop tune with a ladder to the wall of Castle Electro (I'm having a day of ridiculous metaphors - does that one even work?). And the second track, Wish I Stayed produced by Frankmusik is certainly growing on me.

If you like this kind of thing I suggest you check out Katie Dove-Dixon too.

Interesting sidenote on this: Ellie Golding's original version of this on her Myspace sounded different then Frankmusik covered it with another artist, then Ellie Golding had that cover killed and copied the vocals.

    YAY FOR ORIGINALITY ELLIE!

PS I still think the girl who covered it was better
